Important Info for Patients & Family

Brynn Marr Hospital strives to provide a comfortable, secure treatment experience for all our patients and their families. To improve the recovery process for every patient, we seek to inform their loved ones of our treatment approach, admission process, phone hours and information on nearby lodging for visits.

Most patients and family members have questions about their stay with us. Our admissions department is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week at 910-577-1400 to answer questions and conduct no-cost assessments, or you can visit our FAQ section for answers to some of the most common questions we receive.

Please be aware the information below is subject to change. If a patient is busy with their programming during the phone or visitation times, additional phone or visitation time can be scheduled through our care coordinator. Additionally, Brynn Marr Hospital reserves the right to alter the Packing list and items not allowed at our facility at any time without notice in order to maintain the wellbeing and safety of our patients and staff.

Items permitted at Brynn Marr Hospital

  • (3) shirts
  • (3) pants or shorts (must be knee length)
  • (5) pair of underwear
  • (5) pair of socks
  • (3-5) bras with no underwire
  • (1) pair of pajamas
  • (1) jacket, crewneck sweatshirt, sweater or coat (no hoodies, drawstrings, or pull strings)
  • (1) pair of comfortable shoes with no shoestrings
  • Slippers
  • Soft back books (no staples, metal clips, spirals, or binders)
  • Photo copies of personal photos

Items not permitted at Brynn Marr Hospital

  • Clothing with hoods, straps, draw strings, pull strings, cords, or studs
  • Ripped or torn clothing
  • Belts, scarves, and ties
  • Clothing that has drugs, sex, alcohol, or violent screen printing
  • Tank tops and undershirts
  • V-neck/Muscle Tshirts
  • Thong underwear
  • Any products with staples
  • Hardback books or reading material
  • Cell Phones, electronic devices, cigarettes, lighters, or vape pens.
  • Clothing that sags or is transparent
  • Jewelry and body jewelry (exception: one wedding band, no stones)
  • Make-up and cosmetics
  • Sunglasses and hats/head wraps
  • Any hygiene/aerosol products (the hospital will supply for hygiene needs)
  • Hair brush or comb
  • Hair ties (provided on the unit)
  • Flip flops/boots/high top shoes
  • Art supplies/games/playing cards

2 East:
11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

3 East:

1 West:
10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

2 West:
9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

3 West:
12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Monday through Sunday (6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.)

2 East:
Tuesday and Saturday (4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.) and (5:40 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.)

3 East:
Monday through Sunday (6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.)

1 West:
Tuesday and Saturday (5:30 p.m. – 6:50 p.m.)

2 West:
Tuesday and Saturday (7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.)

3 West:
Monday through Sunday (7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.)

Visitation Policies

  • Visitation is for 20 minutes at a time
  • Only 2 people may visit at a time
  • All visitors must be 18 years or older
  • All visitors must have a valid photo ID present and Patient ID number
  • NO cell phones, electronic devices, cigarettes/lighters, bags/purses, or food are permitted beyond the main lobby
  • Our clinical staff delivers individual and group therapy throughout the day and will not be available to meet with visitors. Clinical staff meetings are by appointment only.
  • No one under the age of 18 is to be left unattended in the hospital lobby or permitted in the visitation areas.
